IFSR at the 2007 World Scout Jamboree

THE STORY OF THE IFSR SCOUTING ROTARIANS
WSJ 2007 SOUVENIR POSTCARD
At an IFSR/RIBI meeting in April 2007 in Coventry, Shirley Kirk came up with
the idea of distributing a Souvenir Postcard at Scouting's
Centennial Jamboree where IFSR were to have a Stand.
IFSR President, David A Judge MBE, further developed the idea and contacted
RIBI Rotarian Noel Tatt who had postcard printing companies.
Noel Tatt very generously agreed to totally sponsor the design,
preparation and printing of 40,000 special souvenir postcards.
This meant that each person attending WSJ 2007 could be given a free
souvenir postcard printed by Impress Publishing - specialist fundraising
publishers -

Impress Publishing's General Manager Bill Terris worked closely with David
Judge and together with help from the World Organisation of Scout Movement
(WOSM) and others, they arrived at a design with the centrepiece of 'Scouts
of the World - Brothers Together', a water colour painting by Scouting's
Founder Robert Baden-Powell.
The flags depicted in the water colour are from left to right:
China, U.S.A., Spain, Great Britain, France, Lithuania, Denmark, Hungary,
World Scout Flag, Finland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Brazil,
Japan.
All at WSJ 2007 should be most grateful to Noel Tatt for his generous
sponsorship through Impress Publishing and particularly Bill Terris for his
patient support, help and guidance in producing this unique Scouting
Centennial Jamboree Souvenir Postcard.
